Product Summary
The McIntosh MP100 is a premium solid-state phono stage designed for customers who want to get more performance, flexibility and enjoyment from a vinyl setup without stepping straight into a full pre-amplifier. As McIntosh’s dedicated phono preamplifier, it is built specifically for record replay and gives both new and experienced vinyl listeners a much more serious front end for moving magnet and moving coil cartridges.
A major part of the MP100’s appeal is how adjustable it is. With separate moving magnet and moving coil inputs plus front-panel loading adjustment, it makes cartridge matching far easier than with a fixed phono stage. That means customers can fine tune the setup to better suit their cartridge and system, helping unlock cleaner, more balanced and more rewarding playback from a record collection.
The MP100 also adds useful flexibility beyond analogue listening. Balanced and unbalanced outputs make it easy to integrate into a wide range of hi-fi systems, while the coaxial, optical and USB digital outputs provide a straightforward route for archiving vinyl to a computer or feeding a compatible digital input elsewhere in the system. For customers who want a beautifully made dedicated phono stage with strong adjustability, premium build quality and classic McIntosh ownership appeal, the MP100 is a very compelling choice.
