The cost of return is your responsibility and we strongly recommend insuring the goods, as refunds cannot be issued for damaged or incomplete returns. Product Summary
The Audio-Technica VM540ML is a high-performance moving magnet cartridge from the VM500 Series, designed to deliver exceptional detail, tracking accuracy and balanced sound reproduction. It uses Audio-Technica’s dual moving magnet generator system, where two magnets are aligned to correspond with the left and right groove walls of a stereo record for improved channel separation and accurate stereo imaging.
The cartridge features a MicroLine diamond stylus mounted on a tapered aluminium cantilever. This advanced stylus shape closely resembles the cutting stylus used during record mastering, allowing it to trace record grooves with exceptional precision while reducing inner-groove distortion and retrieving fine musical detail.
Designed for high-quality turntable systems, the VM540ML also includes para-toroidal coils for improved generating efficiency and a centre shield plate between the channels to reduce crosstalk. The stylus assembly can be replaced when worn using the VMN40ML replacement stylus, making long-term maintenance simple.
