The cost of return is your responsibility and we strongly recommend insuring the goods, as refunds cannot be issued for damaged or incomplete returns. If items show excessive handling, are missing components, or cannot be resold as new, a reasonable deduction may be made.

Product Summary
The Audio-Technica AT-VM760xSL is a premium dual moving magnet stereo cartridge designed to extract exceptional levels of detail, clarity and spatial information from vinyl records. Sitting at the top of Audio-Technica's AT-VMx stereo cartridge range, it combines a Special Line Contact stylus with a solid boron cantilever and an aluminium alloy cartridge body for highly precise groove tracking and refined analogue reproduction.
At the heart of the AT-VM760xSL is a nude Special Line Contact stylus. Its carefully shaped profile creates a large contact area with the record groove, allowing it to trace fine groove modulations with exceptional accuracy. This helps reveal subtle musical information while delivering extended high-frequency response, precise imaging and detailed spatial presentation.
The stylus is mounted to a 0.28mm diameter solid boron cantilever. Boron's high rigidity and excellent vibration transmission properties allow information picked up from the groove to be transferred rapidly and accurately to the cartridge generator, helping the AT-VM760xSL reproduce both delicate musical textures and fast dynamic changes with precision.
Audio-Technica has also upgraded the cartridge's internal generator system. PCUHD high-purity copper is used for the coil conductors, while a reduced number of coil turns helps improve responsiveness. The result is powerful low-frequency reproduction, an expansive soundstage and excellent transient performance.
A paratoroidal coil configuration uses two coils per channel to improve generating efficiency. A centre shield plate positioned between the left and right channels helps reduce electrical crosstalk, contributing to strong channel separation and a stable, clearly defined stereo image.
The cartridge body uses a die-cast aluminium alloy housing designed to suppress unwanted resonance and provide a rigid foundation for the high-performance stylus assembly. This allows the Special Line Contact stylus and boron cantilever to operate with greater accuracy and consistency.
Installation has also been improved across the AT-VMx generation. Threaded M2.6 mounting holes are built directly into the cartridge body, allowing the cartridge to be attached to compatible headshells or tonearms using screws without requiring separate mounting nuts. It is compatible with headshells and tonearms designed for standard 1/2-inch cartridge mounting.
A flip-up stylus protector incorporates a V-shaped guide that makes the stylus tip position easier to see when cueing a record. The replaceable stylus design also allows the AT-VM760xSL to accept compatible stereo replacement styli from the AT-VMx range, making future stylus replacement or experimentation straightforward.
